Terms of Use

1. Acceptance of these Terms

By creating an account, accepting an invitation, accessing a venue or using RiverStacks, the user agrees to these Terms and the Privacy Policy. A user who does not agree must not use the service.

2. Eligibility

Venue access may remain pending until the venue approves the account.

• Be at least 18 and legally able to agree to these Terms.
• Meet the age, identity, admission and participation requirements of the relevant venue.
• Provide accurate information and use RiverStacks only where permitted by law.

3. Accounts and access

Each user must use their own account, keep credentials secure and promptly report suspected unauthorized access. Staff must not share named accounts or personal shift PINs.

• Players may view public venue information, manage requests, view their own attendance and maintain optional private tracking.
• Operators may manage venue operations, guests, staff, events, campaigns and notifications.
• Dealers may access assigned tables, permitted attendance actions and floor requests while on duty.
• No role grants access to another Player's private financial tracking.

4. What RiverStacks provides

RiverStacks does not operate poker games, accept wagers, hold funds, transfer money, provide a wallet, process buy-ins or cash-outs, determine game outcomes or guarantee venue or table entry. Venues remain responsible for their premises, games, staff, admissions and regulatory duties.

• Table availability and occupancy.
• Seat requests, confirmations, waitlists, seating and table movements.
• Active and sit-out attendance tracking.
• Events, notifications and attendance-based campaigns.
• Player-owned notes, session entries and analytics.
• Staff activity records and operational requests.

5. Official attendance and private tracking

Official records come from venue seating, attendance, movement and closure. Players may view but cannot privately rewrite them.

Optional financial and note entries belong to the Player, are visible only to that Player, do not represent money processed by RiverStacks, do not change official attendance and are not venue accounting.

6. Seat requests and venue decisions

A request does not guarantee a seat. A venue may confirm, waitlist, decline, cancel or expire it and may apply a limited hold. It may move or end a session for legitimate operational, safety or policy reasons.

Game play, chips, prizes, entry, cash handling and venue-conduct disputes must be resolved with the venue because RiverStacks does not control those activities.

7. Staff responsibilities

Venues are responsible for assigning roles and supervising staff.

• Use only authorized venue functions and keep guest and staff information confidential.
• Record operational actions accurately and promptly.
• Do not enter payment or private Player-financial information into operational notes.
• Use audit, attendance and notification tools lawfully and promptly remove unauthorized access.

8. Acceptable use

RiverStacks may investigate suspected misuse and restrict access where reasonably necessary.

• Do not use false identity information or access another person's account or private data.
• Do not bypass role, venue, table or security restrictions or manipulate operational records.
• Do not submit unlawful, abusive, misleading or infringing material or harass users or staff.
• Do not scrape, overload, reverse engineer, disrupt, introduce malware or test security without authorization.
• Do not use RiverStacks to facilitate unlawful gambling, payments, financial activity, unauthorized marketing or profiling.

9. Notifications and communications

RiverStacks and authorized venues may send account, security, reservation, attendance, event and operational messages. Optional promotional messages may be disabled. Delivery is not guaranteed where devices are offline, permissions are disabled or contact details are inaccurate.

10. Intellectual property

RiverStacks and its licensors own the service, software, branding, designs and related intellectual property. Users receive a limited, revocable, non-exclusive and non-transferable right to use the service as intended. Users retain lawful submitted content and grant the limited permission needed to provide and secure the service.

11. Third-party services

RiverStacks relies on third-party infrastructure, authentication, hosting, email, app-distribution and notification services. Those services may have separate terms and privacy practices.

12. Service availability and changes

RiverStacks may add, change, suspend or discontinue features for maintenance, security, legal, operational or product reasons and does not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free availability. Operational actions may require an active connection and server confirmation.

13. Suspension and termination

A user may stop using RiverStacks at any time and request deletion under the Account and Data Deletion Policy.

• A breach of these Terms or venue rules.
• Suspected misuse, unauthorized access, or a security or safety risk.
• Loss of staff authorization or venue membership.
• A legal requirement or discontinuation of the relevant service.

14. Disclaimers

To the extent permitted by law, RiverStacks is provided on an “as available” basis. It does not guarantee table availability, admission, game operation, prize eligibility, financial results or accuracy of user-entered private tracking. Rights that cannot lawfully be excluded remain unaffected.

15. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, RiverStacks is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, exemplary or consequential loss arising from venue decisions, game outcomes, lost opportunities, interrupted access or inaccurate user data.

Total liability will not exceed the amount paid directly by the claimant to RiverStacks during the previous 12 months, or INR 1,000 if nothing was paid. This does not apply where liability cannot lawfully be limited. Venues remain responsible for their premises, games, staff, regulation and cash handling.

16. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. The parties should first attempt good-faith resolution through info@riverstacks.com. Subject to rights that cannot be restricted, courts in Pune, Maharashtra, India have jurisdiction.

17. Changes to these Terms

Updated Terms will show a revised date. Material changes may be communicated through the app, website or registered email address. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance where permitted by law.
