Account & data deletion
A RiverStacks user may request deletion of their account and eligible personal data at any time.
Last updated 5 November 20261. Right to request deletion
Deletion is permanent and removes access to the Player or Staff service associated with the account. One RiverStacks account may be used across the Player and Operator apps and multiple venues. Deleting the whole account affects those connected roles and access; removing one venue relationship is a separate request and does not delete the whole account. Sign-out, uninstalling an app, closing a venue or removing a staff role is not account deletion.
2. How to request deletion
In the app, open Account & data deletion and choose Email deletion request. This opens your email application; you must send the message to submit the request. You can also email info@riverstacks.com directly from your registered address with the subject “RiverStacks account deletion request”, without reinstalling or signing in to the app. Requests are reviewed and processed manually by the RiverStacks administrator after receipt and identity verification. Sending an email does not automatically delete the account. RiverStacks confirms completion or explains any lawful retention and processing delay.
- Include the account holder's name and registered email address.
- Include the registered telephone number if available.
- State whether the request concerns the whole account or one venue relationship.
- Never send a password, shift PIN or private session amounts.
3. Identity verification
RiverStacks verifies that the requester controls the account, normally through the registered email address or reasonable additional information. RiverStacks never asks for a password or Dealer PIN by email. Processing begins after verification.
4. What deletion removes
Staff access, duty status and active assignments are disabled when a Staff account is deleted.
- Login access and profile information.
- Personal preferences.
- Player-private notes and financial tracking.
- Saved events and reminders.
- Push tokens and device associations.
- Notification records no longer required.
- Pending requests and unneeded venue-link records.
5. Information that may be retained
Deletion covers associated personal data, not only login access. Attendance, seat-assignment, Staff and security audit records are not automatically exempt: only the minimum information necessary for a specific lawful security, fraud-prevention, dispute-resolution or legal purpose may be retained. We assess each request, remove or de-identify unnecessary identifiers, and explain any applicable exception. Provider-held data and protected backup expiry are included in the fulfilment review. Player-private financial tracking is never converted into a venue record or disclosed to Operators or Dealers.
6. Venue unlinking instead of deletion
A Player may ask to end one venue relationship without deleting the whole account. Unlinking may end future access while preserving official records the venue may lawfully retain. Clearly state that the request is for venue unlinking.
7. Processing time
RiverStacks normally completes a verified request within 30 days. If a request is unusually complex or data must lawfully be retained, RiverStacks will explain the status and additional time. Save anything needed before deletion because deleted private tracking cannot be restored.
8. Effect of deletion
- The user can no longer sign in with the deleted account.
- Active sessions, assignments and pending operational requests are ended or transferred as appropriate.
- Optional private tracking is no longer available.
- Re-registration creates a new account and does not automatically restore deleted information.
- Historical venue records may be linked only where lawfully retained and properly verified.
